Unit 14 - D1

The Blackberry torch 9810 is really good phone as you can email faster on it, speak to your friends on BBM  quicker, and its really good for business. But if you compare it to the IPhone 5 it has a front and back camera, better megapixel, and has better 3G and some have 4G.

All of these features are good, effective and similar. But the Blackberry is better for business and an Iphone is better to show off as its the best phone out.

Unit 14 - M3

What mechanisms have been put in place to prevent or control the implications described for P6?

For P6 the problems were back ache, head ache and so on.
So the methods to prevent all those problems could be measuring the chair so you can sit right and so that you are comfortable where you sit and how you sit. Health and safety issues sorted, so that you are happy and you are not getting aches. Also other health and safety issues making sure the computer is in the right position for you to see so it is clear and you can understand it probably.
Also- Spending too much time on the computer can also affect your social life.  Many people spend less time actually taking to their friends and more time texting and on social networking sites.  Using your computer vast amounts every single day can also cause problems to the environment. It uses electricity which could be used for something more productive. Also many people leave their computers on standby which wastes electricity.
Spending to much time on the internet can cause cyber bullying, this has been prevented because it has all been said so less people have been using the internet.  And this will lead to less cyber bulling across the internet.
Also spending too much time on the computer can seriously damage your eyes, so now less people have came across to using it as much, also making the screen duller than it is can help your eyes, so the computer right in front of you is not lighting through your eyes.

Justify the protocol transmission type you used. Ensure you find positive and negative aspects for the protocol and suggest a second way you could have sent the contact.

positive;
the protocol transmission i used was Bluetooth when i sent a photo through Bluetooth to a friend. the positive aspects are that the other person got it for free, they did not have to pay for it which is good for them. also, it is very secure so no one can hack into it, you can create a password for it. you can switch Bluetooth on and off so no one can find you when its off and just switch it on when you wan to be found. Bluetooth also does not drain your battery.

negative;
Bluetooth can only be used in a certain distance which is bad because you have to be near the person if you wanted too send them a data file. Bluetooth is also very slow so it will take a while to transmit your data across to others.

instead of Bluetooth another way you can send your data is through email it is much faster and takes 2 seconds to attach a file. the file size is also bigger so you can see it clearer and better.

Unit 14 - M2

What are the main differences when comparing the two technologies described for P4?  Think about the speed of the transmission, costs and coverage.

The main differences are with a mobile is you cannot connect if you were in the middle of a countryside. You could send a picture message through 3g but it will cost and it isn’t that big, it comes out small. The best method is too send it through email and making your phone the hotspot because sending it through email does not cost and it comes out bigger than your phone. The final way of doing it is uploading it to your computer then transferring it through email.

Unit 14 - M1

How do protocol’s and devices keep data safe?

To keep protocol’s and devices data safe you can use a password to keep your data safe in a document that only you know the password so only you can get into it you should use a password that no-one would think of for example an old nickname and not something like your birthday or family member. Also do not leave your documents logged in so no-one can get into your account without any difficultly. Bluetooth is very easy to hack as the code is easy to read whilst Wi-Fi is protected by W.P.A making it harder to hack into unless you leave your Wi-Fi open then it is only a click away to hack into.

Unit 14 - p7

Radio Shack head quarters have been made aware of the social and legal implications of using mobile technologies.  Although your technical knowledge is very good they want to know if you can describe two instances where mobile technology could have an impact on:

Social life - Mobile technology has an impact on your social life because eg eyes, if your constantly on your phone the light from the mobile technology can damage your eye site or make you possibly blind.  Repetitive strain injury also impacts on you socially by illnesses popularly referred to as blackberry thumb, ipod finger, gamers thumb, rubiks wrist, cubers thumb, trigger finger, stylus finger, ravers wrist and others.

The law - Mobile technology has an impact on the law because if you have a good updated phone and flash it about then your going to get it robbed of off you. It can be hacked and all of your data can be taken away from the phone. Or someone can attach their phone on to yours and your data usage will be taken away quickly.
