WiFi
You can only use WiFi if its connected to a hub e.g at home, McDonald's  costa coffee etc. You have to be a certain distance to connect to it. Laptops, phones, iPod  iPad or any other technology that allows you to use the internet is WiFi based.
3G
You can use 3G anywhere you want e.g in town, at a park, someone else's house that don't have WiFi etc. This is only usually for any phone no matter what phone you have it will have 3G if your paying for it. But sometimes you can get Samsung galaxy, iPad or notebooks that also have 3G. It allows you to use Facebook, apps, texts, phone calls, browser etc.
Bluetooth
You can use Bluetooth anywhere you want to as long as you're connected to another persons device and in a certain distance with it otherwise it will disconnect. This is on any piece of technology e.g phones, laptops, iPod  iPad etc. This allows you to send voice notes  pictures, videos, music and any other sort of media or files/documents.
BBM
You can use BBM anywhere if you have payed for it. This is only on blackberry's as its called blackberry messenger. This allows you to add people and speak to them wherever, send photos, voice notes  videos, music and any other types of media. You can also use BBM if your connected to WiFi.
